Life, Man... Life

Hola everyone!

The date of this post is a bit off... I was supposed to have something ready for you all on the 15th. Obviously, it is no longer the 15th... far from that.

I wish I could have a perfectly valid, reasonable explanation. Why would it take a writer like me 18 days to get something out when I have so much to write about? Why would I set up a Strawpoll about this blog and then do nothing with the results?

  The explanation is multi-faceted:

  • My current job (which some of you know about) now takes up quite a bit of my week. It may only be four days a week, but I pretty much put in close to 40 hours. You can do the conservative math on that one if you feel up to that.
  • While I have small pockets of time, most of that has been crocheting. I have a few different projects to complete and need to get them done before the end of the year. Most of them are Christmas presents. So... there's that.
  • And the writing I have done is all stuff for a novel. Unless y'all want to see first draft stuff of a novel (which is always sloppy and all over the place in terms of story), then it is kind of pointless to show that.

All in all, I'm pretty overwhelmed. If I didn't have to spend so much time with work-related and crochet-related stuff, then I would be more than happy to sit here and type all the little posts for you guys. I really would. As it stands... I just can't.

This doesn't mean I don't want to write for this! I still want to do some other things for you guys to enjoy and get feedback for. There is a lot I want to share about the world my novel is based in, as well as the crazy adventures I get up to while I'm enjoying my life. And that I plan on doing. You will get at least four more posts for 2019. After that, I will be plotting a new schedule for this blog so you have more to read and enjoy.

Until then, please enjoy the rest of 2019. Do the things you enjoy, and endure the things that you don't. With a good heart and a good mindset, anything you want to do will be within reach. Believe in yourself and those around you, even if you don't like them and they don't like you. Find your drive to do things in life, whether it is a material goal or a virtue you wish to master.
