Book Review #11

Discovering Christian Witchcraft: A Beginner's Guide for Everyday Practice By Emyle D Prata and Sara Raztresen      So, I am going to be honest here. I have only gotten through three chapters of this book.      I will say that this is not due to the content I have read. In all actuality, the book itself is actually been a really interesting read! The first three chapters have actually been really informative and thought-provoking. Both authors go into detail on their research, which is extremely amazing. They have obviously done a lot of research and read a lot of scholarly work to come to the conclusions they have.      With that in mind, the problem I have with this book is that it is densely formatted. Not that the actual information is dense, thought it can come across that way for those who are not familiar with scholarly work or discussion. The problem I had is that the formatting of this book, particularly the line density, was what ma...

Thinking About Stuff

Normally, I would have something nicer to post for my little non-fiction post of the month. But this week I have been running through some thoughts in my head that I feel I can share with you to either get some feedback or just to get this out of my head. I'll take either/or honestly.  I feel like most fast food restaurant higher ups (thinking general manager and owner) don't really care about their workers. After being at my last job in the school system, switching over to a fast food place has been difficult, especially when I watch co-workers experience an issue and only our directors (a tier down from the GM and owner) seem to care about what is going on with us.  I have accepted the fact that I am a difficult yet boring person to be around. Especially right now as I am regressing and re-progressing through my emotional life. But I have realized through the relationships I have had in the past (especially the last two) that I am a fairly boring person. I don't really...

The Addictcraft Series, Part 3 [Repost]

3: Rocketing into a New Addiction   Ballzz wanted to show me something awesome, unfortunately, it required me to actually have Minecraft skills. ~~   "So Ani, all you have to do is find the center of the rocket, fall down, hit the cobwebs, open up your elytra, and start shooting the flying rockets upward."   Ballzz's words almost blur in my mind, and I shake my head. "Sure, Ballzz." I walk to the edge of the dizzying platform he built. I try not to look down, but I end up doing it anyway. I quickly look up to relieve my split second of nausea before jumping off the edge. Watching the rocket spin around my vision as I fall, I can't help but wonder how insane this is. Just as I begin to get an answer, I hit a soft bed of cobwebs. I spread the wings on my elytra and grab the rockets out of my backpack, pointing them in random directions. Thankfully, Ballzz handed me about nine packages of them, each with sixty-four rockets. Just in case.   "An...
