A Note on Blog Progress
Hello world! I hope all is going well with you!
As of this point in my blog, I've hit an unfolding path in what I can do. I've written a little bit of everything, but I really want to see where you guys sit on what you enjoy from this blog. Yes, I know I've asked before, which is why I then gave (and still give) parts to An Anima Journey aka Praza Kadlec's story. I've also been doing some book reviews based on a list of books I want to read while I have the time. I also want to get some poetry posted to give myself a refresher on what kinds of poetry are around. So that might be coming up at some point as well.
The true question I want to bring to you -my readers- is this: What fictional work would you like me to revisit/continue or publish here? I know I have a couple of series that are ten parts each: Mamma Mia, the sci-fi mafia adventure, and An Anima Journey, the fantasy backstory of an Anima: Beyond Fantasy campaign character. If neither of those seem interesting, I do wish to write some shorter pieces about characters within my story universe I have been working on for nearly two decades now. This story universe is centered -for the moment- around a planet called Canlanma and the civilization of the same name. Those of you who have watched me build a city in Minecraft might recall that the city I'm building is in that universe. Then again, I could weave yet another story or set of stories specifically published to this blog.
Below, I will give a bit more detail for each idea, and a possible continuing path or plot line for each idea. Feel free to access (this tweet) to give your final vote:
Mamma Mia (possible name change)
A mother with the galaxy in her hands; a son with nothing to his name; a battle of wits that the universe isn't ready for.
Mamma Mia is a comedic drama about a couple of people that need to be away from each other, but the chaos of the universe has other plans with its adventure, drama, and general mischief.
If this idea is selected, the name will change for better things. World-building will need to be done. Characters will be slightly re-worked. Continued path will be the adventures of the son and his friends as the mother either attempts to clean the mess or ignores the mess entirely (along with other things I won't spoil for obvious reasons).
An Anima Journey
Praza Kadlec just wants to crochet and travel. What she dislikes is being forced into an adventure.
An Anima Journey is a slice-of-life fantasy look into the basic world of Anima: Beyond Fantasy through the perspective of a small human named Praza Kadlec as she attempts to do her best to stay out of trouble. If adventure wouldn't be so pushy, anyway.
If this idea is selected, there will be more research into Anima:Beyond Fantasy and a more comprehensible look at Praza will be worked up. The continued path would be her adventures out of Lannet and into the wider world where the adventures may be waiting.
Canlanma Tales: Street Level
The world of Canlanma is filled with strange and wondrous things; just don't tell the Creator if you can help it.
Street Level will be a series based on some of the more mundane but still vital workings of Canlanma. This will include stories from the basic workers of the cities to celebrities and those who wish to be something more than they are now.
If this idea is selected, these short pieces of flash fiction (works under 1,500 words) will be posted on the second and fourth Saturdays, just like fictional pieces are now.
These are the three main ideas. The fourth idea, if chosen, will need to have a bit more input from you -my readers- before I write it. Until then, we will see what the decision is. As much as I would really enjoy doing all of these and more for you, I don't want to overload this blog with different fictional pieces. Not yet anyway. That will be for years from now.
If you have a decision made, head over to (this tweet) to vote.
Thanks to everyone who will give their voice. The final decision will start in June no matter what. Hopefully, you all will be ready by then.
Much love and strength,
Animus
