Various planets among the Milky Way Syndicate (MWS) during the Forgotten Era


Description:

An oily substance that erupts from the surface of some planets. When distilled and carbonated, the oil produces a sweet liquid that is marketed as a carbonated beverage on all planets in the MWS. Flavoring can be added, but most of the substance carries a distinct flavor that is dependent on the region it is taken from and the environmental conditions at the time of harvesting. Currently, there are three planets that produce the highest quality of the substance and it remains distributed syndicate-wide.


Scholar’s Notes:

The substance (which will be deemed “oil” from this point on) was originally obtained on a planet [REDACTED]. When initially found there, it was considered to be similar to the oil derived from decomposed plant and animal life. When this new oil was tested, it was found to carry some interesting chemical reactions that could cause drowsiness and potential hypnotic characteristics if enough was consumed. Soon after this discovery, [REDACTED] -leader of the MWS- began mass producing and advertising the product.


If you are not part of the String and Reality that the MWS is a part of, you will not be able to consume the oil in its original or carbonated state. Test subjects who have tried the oil experienced various side effects including vomiting, nausea, headaches, excessive sweating, and a spike in the desire to rid the body of the oil by any means available. 


Further Instruction:

  1. Monitor MWS for ulterior motives for oil use.

  2. Continuing testing oil on various test subjects from other realities and strings.

  3. Experiment with oil to discover its chemical composition and other abnormalities.

Canlanma Street Level, Story 1

Story 1    The holy incense follows the disciples out of the gilded temple hall. The Shepherd continues to swing the burner as he repeats the old mantras of the faith. The last disciple leaves and the burner settles as the Shepherd contemplates the list of rituals he must perform before the sun sets. The ritual implements have to be cleaned, the sacrifices burned, the acolytes of the temple purified, the-   "Shepherd Thanatos, we have a situation that requires your attention." An acolyte of the temple calls from below the altar. The Shepherd sighs and recites his calming mantra: "What I am about to do has not been approved." The Shepherd walks slowly behind the altar and finds the symbol on the side as he recites "chao regnat" under his breath. The symbol glows and opens a trap door under the altar.
