 3: Abandoning Arrows

 I come to the edge of my farm to welcome Rev and Mosin onto the island. I give them each a package of cookies. "So, remind me why you are coming over?"


  "Like I said, Rev wants to see how the redstone work is doing, and I'm just coming along to see if you are doing anything cool." Mosin smiles.


  "Well, right now I am getting ready to chop down all of these trees to make a new place. Want to come help me?" I ask.


  "Sure, we can help for a while." Rev nods, pulling out his diamond axe.


  I hear Amethyst sigh and walk back into our house. I suspect that she knows something I don't know. Knowing my luck, it will be a few minutes before I find out for myself. No point in asking right now.


  After about an hour of chopping trees, I hear another sound coming from my communicator. I tap on it and wait a moment. "Hello?"


  "Hey Ani." My friend BT says back.


  "BT!" Mosin yells excitedly. "Come hang out with Rev and I!"


  "Sure, I have some time before I have to work. Where are you guys at?"


  "They're at my farm." I reply as I take down another tree. "Do you know where that is?"


  "Not a clue."


  "I'll go get him." Amethyst calls from the other side of the island, grabbing a boat.


  "Thanks Amethyst." I smile back. "Amethyst is coming to get you, BT."


  "Awesome. Say, Rev, Mosin, want to do some PvP when I get there? I want to show off my new bow to Ani." BT asks.


  "I highly doubt you have a better bow than I do, BT." Mosin taunts. "I've almost gotten a God bow!"


   "I actually HAVE a God bow, so I think I can wreck you guys." Rev laughs.


  "Well, I guess you guys need to find out with a little free-for-all battle." I smirk. "Just don't hit me and we'll call it good."


  "Shall it be a death match?" BT asks.


  "How about this: If you go in my house, it is a safe zone so you can eat food and heal up." I suggest.


  "Deal." BT, Rev, and Mosin agree.


  "Alright, have fun." I giggle.



  It didn't take long for the boys to start playing with stuff. Apparently, they decided my showcase farm was a great boat ride for their boats.


  "Ani, you need to try this with us!" Rev shouts.



  I pray to the gods as Rev helps me into the back of the boat. Being a little nervous, I hide behind him at the boat sways with the currents and finally lands in the water between the bridges to the storehouse. I laugh nervously as we finally land.


  "Ani, were you scared to go down the ride?" Rev smiles gently.


  "Just a little." I admit, looking down at my feet and the wheat in my hand.


  "It's all good. You can ride it later on your own if you want." Rev suggests. I might later on, but I'm not sure yet.


  "Ani, you need to keep this as a boat ride!" Mosin laughs as he takes his boat down, then dunks himself into the water. "Just raise the bridge up a little so you can ride the boat underneath, and you have an awesome ride to just play on."


  I think about that for a moment as Amethyst and BT come to join us. Amethyst makes some comment on BT for taking too long, but it doesn't seem to matter anymore as a storm comes through and the three prepare their armor. Amethyst ducks back into the house for a moment before heading into the storehouse to work for the evening. I take an axe back into my hand and get back to work chopping down the extra trees around my property.


  Before long, I hear a lot of cussing, followed by a bit of sad sighs as the boys take turns shooting each other with arrows from their supposed "God bows." I laugh as I take pictures, giving Amethyst her own laugh as she works and watches us all from the farm and storehouse.


  "Do you think UFOG will ever join in this kind of fun?" Amethyst asks as I finish chopping the last of the trees for the night.


  I shrug. "I have no idea. I'm assuming he is working on his base a lot, so he doesn't really want to have any play fights like this." I watch the boys for a while as Mosin runs into my house for the tenth time that night. I can tell they are getting tired, but I will let them leave on their own terms. No point in trying to shoo them away.


  Amethyst laughs as they wait for Mosin to come out and spend the spare time to plan the best places to shoot from. As the barrage of arrows continues, I get a new call from UFOG. Amethyst walks away and continues her harvesting as I answer. "Yes boss?"


  "You don't have to call me boss, Ani. I'm not your boss." UFOG chuckles. "Can you come over to my base when you get the chance? Wizz, Luni, and I want to show you around and see what you think."


  "No problem. I'll come once it stops raining." I answer.


  "Awesome. Ring us when you get here." He says before ending our little chat.


  I look out to the water and land, wondering what UFOG would want me to look at in his base. What could their possibly be?

Canlanma Street Level, Story 1

Story 1    The holy incense follows the disciples out of the gilded temple hall. The Shepherd continues to swing the burner as he repeats the old mantras of the faith. The last disciple leaves and the burner settles as the Shepherd contemplates the list of rituals he must perform before the sun sets. The ritual implements have to be cleaned, the sacrifices burned, the acolytes of the temple purified, the-   "Shepherd Thanatos, we have a situation that requires your attention." An acolyte of the temple calls from below the altar. The Shepherd sighs and recites his calming mantra: "What I am about to do has not been approved." The Shepherd walks slowly behind the altar and finds the symbol on the side as he recites "chao regnat" under his breath. The symbol glows and opens a trap door under the altar.
