Book Review - 2025 Prologue

Hey there! As per my custom for a little while now, I will be posting my very casual book reviews at least once a month. Probably during the later half of the month.    This year, I'm hoping to go through my small stack of reading that was signed and given to me during my Creative Writing courses at Colorado State University. I was fortunate enough to either read the books during the classes I took, or I bought them from the authors when they came for their book readings/Q&As that the university hosted once in a while.    The other thing I wish to get into is more spiritual or religious books. I know it is not everyone's cup of tea, but it is something I have been fascinated with since I was a teenager and young adult.      With that in mind, the first book I will review in February is Discovering Christian Witchcraft by Emyle D. Prata and Sara Raztresen. So far, it is a slightly dense yet wonderfully simple understanding of what this particu...

The Addictcraft Series, Part 2 [Repost]

2: Addicted to Christmas  It takes a long time before I could get back into the swing of being in a community. Thanks to other old friends like Ballzz, Churro, Zaring, BT, Mosin, Wolfie, and Lost, I get back into farming for everyone. Slowly, I get a system started to help out the server. It's still going -maybe not as fast as I would like it to, but it's getting there.   Amethyst swings by Renegade and I's farm just before my communicator begins to buzz. "Hey, your friends want you to swing by the world spawn." She says.   "Really? How did you figure that out?" Renegade huffs.   Amethyst and I roll her eyes. Renegade's a bit grouchy lately, for some odd reason or another. I nod and grab my communicator to put in the earpiece and flip open the screen. "What's the occasion?"   Amethyst smirks. "A Christmas tree that Ballzz wants to show off."   "Ah, alright." I smile and put the earpiece in before I tune into the ri...

2025: Still Kicking

"You know, staying slumped at your desk isn't going to help you get things done." Amethyst laughs as she takes a seat on the floor nearby. "It also doesn't help your old lady back. Come on." She kicks my leg a little.    "Are you sure slumping doesn't help? It feels nice." I groan. I barely catch my crochet hook in my lap and realize I should probably continue crocheting to stay awake.    "You look like death warmed you up for a snack."    "At 6pm? Sounds like dinner more than a snack. Unless death doesn't eat like I do."   "Still making self-deprecating fat jokes? In 2025? I thought we got past this." Amethyst sighs.   "I thought I got over the thoughts of wanting to die just to escape my life, but hey. I guess the old sayings are true about cycle repeating and all that." I retort as I try to remember what row of my crochet pattern I'm on.   "Hey, we've been through this. You were tol...
