See You in the New Year

 Hello friends!

I am still recuperating from Christmas, but at least my hands feel better enough to make a properly formatted post.

I managed to get all my crochet gifts done. All the Christmas dolls for my family got done right on Christmas morning. Then I made it through breakfast with 15 other people in my house. After they all left, my sleep-deprived brain crashed for seven hours.

What I have learned in 2022 is this: If I go to bed after not sleeping for a long time, I get a migraine. A bad migraine.

So I woke up with enough of a migraine to only have crackers for my Christmas dinner. It was okay though; my mother and I decided to postpone our Christmas dinner for the day after. After the crackers agreed to stay in my stomach and not leave my body, I took some medicine and went to bed.

    For another ten hours.

But yeah, Christmas was great. I got some things that really help me get some stuff organized in my life, especially my collection of tea cups. There is a lot I could say, but I will not. Not the point of this blog post.

I will be drunk within five to six hours of writing this (I'm writing this at 4pm on New Year's Eve). I really hope I will be at least drunk enough to let go of my inhibitions a little, but not enough that I can't remember anything. But before I lose myself in my own drunken madness, I would like to thank you.

Yes, you. The one who is reading this right now.

Whether you found this randomly or through me, thank you for sticking around with me. This has been a crazy year. Looking back since the beginning of this blog's posts (which is 2018, but I know this blog is a little older than that for reasons I won't go into), I have had a lot of hot takes, some strange fiction, and just generally random posts. Some of them I would find myself wanting to delete nowadays.

But some of the posts are gone. I will explain why eventually. But for now, just know they are not gone forever. They just won't be on the blog.

But I digress. I'm going to go enjoy some adult drinks. Hopefully you get to enjoy either a party filled with joy, or a private celebration filled with peace.

Elyon's Love and Strength,

Ani
