What If The First Humans In The Bible Are Actually The First Homo Sapiens?

There is a lot of debate on whether or not the Bible agrees with the general consensus of scientific knowledge of Earth. A lot of it seems to jokingly center on the dinosaurs in the online spaces. But I have often wondered about how the Bible's story of creation -especially human creation- lines up with our scientific consensus of how everything was created.

For the sake of all our mental sanity, let's temporarily leave the "whens" of creation out of the picture. That in itself is a whole part of the debate that usually ends in frustration, especially when certain groups of people get involved.

With that aside, my idea is that the first homo sapiens were the "Adam and Eve" we get in our Bible story. (Granted, there were more homo sapiens than what we considered the first humans in the Bible, but I'm tabling that discussion for the sake of time on this post. That and because I have a rather odd concept of how these two ideas can be melded together in a way that still makes sense.) It makes sense that the first "humans" are the first homo sapiens on a logical sense. It gives the sense of scale of how "original sin" can come into play with the rise of tribes and nomadic communities. It also makes sense in a story-telling way. If it feels like "original sin" has literally been engrained in us since almost the beginning of time, then having homo sapiens be around for the last 300,000 years makes total sense. 300,000 years is a long time!

Anywho, that is my thought on that.

    Hola everyone. Future Ani here.

This is a cautionary blog post on my part. I am adding this little note on 28 February. I had this blog post sitting in my drafts, waiting to be posted once I finished my rambling.

Upon reading this little post, I realized how tired I must have been to write this. It truly is some of the wilder rambling I often save for my family and closer friends.  To be fair, I get where I was going with this when I first wrote this idea down in my idea book, then wrote this blog post to share with the world. At the same time... this is utter rambling that could make sense, but also feels super obvious.

I am not sure where I was going with this confusion. Let this be a warning to all of my writers out there: GET YOUR SLEEP AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR BRAIN!
