They Came Again
They usually come over every day. Who? I couldn't tell you. They just told me they were "Elo from him" or something like that. I don't even know who the "him" is, but I'm guessing some sort of big doctor or someone important. They wear white scrubs with some sort of jacket over them when it's cold outside, or some nice accessories when it is warm. One of them gave me the spa headband when they came over during the summer. Saying something about "forgetting to take it off after their baptism" or some weird thing like that.
They talk weird, if that wasn't obvious. Very Christian-y, but like weird Christian-y.
Anyway, they usually come over every morning, around three in the morning when I'm still up playing video games. They seem to know when to come over because it will be after a round of Call of Duty or when I'm just messing around in a RPG. They ring my doorbell, I let them in, and then the routine begins.
It's really simple. They ask if they can come in as I open the door. I let them in. They take off their shoes and clean them up a little before coming in. I get them something to drink -usually water, but sometimes they ask for something else that I have- and they bring me something in return. Sometimes it is a meal, other times a bottle of alcohol, and one time I got a necklace. Then they show me a piece of paper with a bunch of names on it. A lot of them. Like, so many that it's hard to understand how many names are on the page. Then they ask me to simply say yes or no. They don't tell me why I am saying yes or no. Sometimes I ask questions, and they will tell me something small about the person. Usually something good, but sometimes they can only say something that's not so great. After I'm done, they shake hands with me and go on their way, taking their shoes with them.
Because I do it every day, I usually don't remember the names. Every once in a while though, it is a name that sounds familiar. Like it rings the faintest of bells in the back of my head. I'll see them and say, "Oh wow, that's a famous person" or "Oh hey, that's someone I think I remember," but there are so many names that it's hard to pinpoint a specific name I've seen before. That and sometimes there are multiples of the same name on a page. I have no idea why.
But hey, it's something different. Not everyone gets to have visitors at three in the morning.
