The Power of ...

     We finally did it.

At long last, we found a way to defeat the empire.

For so long, we thought they had us. Their law enforcement was just a little faster, a little smarter, and a little wittier. They had us in jail at one point, but we got out once we realized who the weakest link in their chain was: their juries. The poor people they ripped out from the livelihoods they were forced to upkeep to sit and listen to the pleas of our brethren. All we would ask for was a little mercy, and the jury would be quick to give. They understood how things were truly run over here, most of the time. The law enforcement tried to bribe them with money, goodies, or favors just to dole out their "justice." Sometimes it worked, hence jail. But most of the time, the people of the jury would find the law enforcement too extreme for such a simple crime.

So we learned the ways of the people. The people they ripped out for this "jury duty" at random intervals selected by an "automatic computer system," which most of us are sure was just the law enforcement hitting a couple of buttons while enjoying ectasy with each other on the desks. There was no way this thing was impartial. For the way they did things, it was easy to notice which souls would be "selected" over and over again. Once we learned the people's ways, we found out they didn't like the empire either. They were tired of the empire not treating them as equal flesh and blood, but as rodents to experiment on with new propaganda, new rules, or new vices to see what could best subdue. Then they would send these results to other empires, and those other empires would just tweak them and use them to manipulate their body of rodents.

But we finally had enough. The people rose up with us. And their precious "power of friendship" was enough to defeat the empire. Weaken it. Just like all of us always wanted.

And now the world is in anarchy. Just like I always wanted. Pure anarchy where I can finally take my place as its villian.
