I'm Done with 2020

-

 I stare at my journal and realize I have gotten everything done. With as hellish of a year I've had, especially in the last three months, I feel numb staring at the last story for my 13-week series. Somehow, I've managed to get everything done, with no sleep, and still remain coherent. 

  "Is it time to get some alcohol?" Amethyst laughs. She suddenly sees the state of my body. "Nope. Shower first, then food, then alcohol. You need it."

  "Yeah. I do." I get up and stretch to keep my back pain away. "Can you do me a favor and say something to the readers for me?"

  "Um... sure." Amethsyt says. She sits down at the computer and sees that some chaos has already been started for her.

Hello everyone. Amethyst here.

  Thank you so much for sticking around and waiting patiently for the posts to come back. If you feel like you missed any, they will be updated on the pages as soon as Ani gets back from getting cleaned up and fed, so it will be before the end of the day. If not then, check back in tomorrow. 

  Another thank you for those who have been super supportive of her (and by extension, us) with all of the chaos in her life. It is has been a cycle of ups and downs that none of us expected, but we made it through with most of our sanity intact. Missing, but still intact. So that's a good thing.

  No matter what you are planning/did plan for your 31 Dec, I hope it is/will be wonderful. Ani and I really hope that everyone's 2021 is a little better than 2020. Hindsight is going to be fun for those one... 

  Anyway, I'm off to be with Ani and her family! Have an awesome timezone (day/afternoon/evening/night)!

Canlanma Street Level, Story 1

Story 1    The holy incense follows the disciples out of the gilded temple hall. The Shepherd continues to swing the burner as he repeats the old mantras of the faith. The last disciple leaves and the burner settles as the Shepherd contemplates the list of rituals he must perform before the sun sets. The ritual implements have to be cleaned, the sacrifices burned, the acolytes of the temple purified, the-   "Shepherd Thanatos, we have a situation that requires your attention." An acolyte of the temple calls from below the altar. The Shepherd sighs and recites his calming mantra: "What I am about to do has not been approved." The Shepherd walks slowly behind the altar and finds the symbol on the side as he recites "chao regnat" under his breath. The symbol glows and opens a trap door under the altar.
