Recovered from Ashes of Bonfire

Day 366   It has been too long since I have been back to my clan and my dwelling. The humanoid companion says it has been a "year," but that word is odd to me. The strange object has given me so much wisdom and knowledge. It is definitely a pleasurable item as well. My companion has helped me see that, and we have shared our knowledge and pleasure with others.   I must return. I must share this new information with my mistress. Perhaps it will help me gain more pleasure from her.  Day 370   My companion is forcing me to take him to my dwelling and my mistress. I really do not want to add to my competition for pleasure, but he is giving me no leeway. So, reluctantly, I am returning with him.  Day 376   I had a vision last night!   I found myself staring down at the mass of my competition as they fight for pleasure. A female voice with no form asked if I wanted to be the only one to pleasure my mistress. Of course I would! Such an honor! The voice...

Earworms

At the time of writing this (9pm on Saturday), I am exhausted. I should have written this on Friday like I normally do, but a flurry of laborious work enveloped me. So much so that I don't really remember going to bed, waking up this morning, or anything much about today. That is a good sign -to me anyway- that my mind and body are agitated and exhausted from a lot of work.   So while I take a break for this blog, I would like to suggest an artist that has been providing me with earworms for the last few days. (For those of you who don't know, "earworms" are pieces of music that you cannot get out of your head, even if you think you have.) The artist is Bill Wurtz. If that name rings a bell, that's because you might have seen his most popular video: history of the entire world, i guess   Yes, that popular video. It's a great video, honestly. It wasn't until I really dug into his music that I found the gems that are now stuck in my head. These will be al...

The Story of the Wild Ones: A Story

Part 1: A Story   "Don't let that water fool you. It's not safe to drink."     I stay still. Water drips from your hand. You've given me that look before. That look that says, "Are you seriously trying to be my parent right now" look you always get whenever I direct you. You drip the rest of the water back into the stream and dry your hand on your pants. I motion with my head and we waddle forward.   "What are we looking for again?" You yawn as we stumble over an overgrown tree log. I close my eyes a little and think of the last time I hit you. It has been a long time. "We are hunting some meat for the womenfolk. You know that." I say instead of lashing out at you. You mean and keep going ahead of me. We both know how important this is for the women. All of the niceness we had before is long gone. In my hazy mind, I can just make out memories of clean hallways and stores of food. Little flimsy rectangles we gave to hazy figures. Walki...

237

I've stared at the scale for too long. 237.0          237 excuses I've made not to exercise.          237 snacks I should not have had.          237 bottles of water I did not drink.           237 hours of sleep I wasted being awake instead.   I find my mind drift into thoughts of gaining wait, adding to my depressive swings, and the downward spiral that would only lead to an unpleasant end. Then I stop myself. What was the point of those thoughts? Just tearing myself down? No. No, I was done with that. My mind sputters into a new set of thoughts. 237 pounds.          237 homemade meals to cook instead of eating fast food.          237 cups of tea to enjoy instead of soda.           237 steps on the walk along the park with my dog.          237 nigh...

Plans and Projects

It's finally May! It's time to commit to plans and projects again! Time to let in the fresh air and clean out all of the junk in our lives!   "And yet here you are, sitting down to play Minecraft." Amethyst laughs bitterly.    I glare at her. "Look, I have to finish this mountain range. It's been on my mind at work all week."   Amethyst studies me as I go back to putting rows of stone into random layers of mountain. Eventually, a friend joins me to finish it. "So, are you ready to get-?" I interrupt her by getting into a voice chatroom on Discord with a couple of people. We talk for hours about stuff for the game and random drama. I can feel her playing with the threads of my life and its alternate realities somewhere behind me. I look over my shoulder to see if I can stop her.    Bam!   I hear a pipe of water burst. I mute my microphone and wake up my family in a panic. We take care of the water and the now busted sprinkler pipe. I sit ba...
