Down the Rabbit Hole

I stare blankly at my new phone, waiting for all my apps to finish loading in and getting updated. It took me a long time to work up the nerve to get a new phone, and I'm super happy I got it. The glittery case does make it more shiny. I stare at the Google Play Store menu, waiting for the circles to fill and disappear as each app gets installed, updated, and ready to be messed with. Granted, it will take me the rest of the night to adjust it the way I like, but that can be dealt with.     "Go meet new people." I hear someone say to me. I turn around and it's Ora, standing behind me with Amethyst. They shrink into mini versions of themselves and sit on my shoulder.      "Come again?" I ask.     "You heard my mom. It's time to go meet new people. Especially guys." Amethyst states as she opens up the Strings of Time and stares at them. Even with that small of a size, it still hurts to look at them. Stupid Time Walker abilities to loo...

Learning

I stare at my blank screen, wondering what to work on first. Everything kind of fell apart after my little spastic incident last week. Now I am sitting among the wreckage, which mostly contains unfinished projects.      "No one is holding you to a deadline but you. You know that, right?" My privateer queen Gen comments as I zone out of reality a bit.      "I know." I put my hands up to support my slumping head. "I just don't know how to accept that my personal life doesn't have a deadline."     "It could, but I don't think it is necessary." Gen sits on the keyboard piano bench nearby. "After all, it is about the journey more than the destination. As great as that destination is." She picks up a blue suede journal. "You could always write down your destination fantasies."     "I intend to. Just... after I finish some of this other stuff." I pull up the Minecraft launcher and my novel, but I only end up...

I'm Done for a While

(TL,DR at the end. Slightly-brief post in bold text. Sorry for the long post.)      Yeah, don't worry. You read that right.  ( I would also note that this is future-dated in the link to keep up with my pattern of posting on Saturdays.)     This has been a long time coming, especially for those of you who have read my blog since last year. I have talked about my social paralysis and general aversion of online life for some time now, and the final straw came today.       I had already eliminated a lot of the social media off my phone due to complete boredom, but I still had TikTok. Of course, as one usually does, I hopped on to kill some time between work shifts. As I opened up the app, I noticed I had multiple notifications. There was only one, however, that stood out to me:      At first, I was a little shocked. For those of you who don't know, I haven't made any content for TikTok because of a personal goal of mine...

Flashes of Fantasy

It happened in a flash.     Literally, a flash. That really tall mountain -yeah, Mount Everest- flashed with a green light. Almost as if someone was taking a picture of it with a really weird camera. Then a beam of light shot down from it. I don't know how else to describe it.      I'll tell you what though. Whatever it was has me putting a tin foil hat on. Just after it came up on the news, my grandma walked out of her hospice bed with all of the wires out of her. We all panicked and tried to get her to bed, but she said she was fine. We took a good look at her and noticed that she didn't seem as pale or thin as the cancer made her. We made a call to her doctor, but I guess she was unavailable. The nurse said everything went crazy over there, but she didn't really say much more. I went onto my Facebook and noticed how many people were talking about the flash, then talking about how people in their life that were really sick were suddenly bet...
