Update and Future Plans

 Hola everyone! How are things going for you?


  I realized that I haven't posted any blog posts since 30 April 2022. My apologies for that. I have had a lot going on in my life since then, especially trying to stream some writing (which is not going as well as I would like...) but I hope to backtrack and get some blog posts up for you soon! 

  For the record, I am writing on 28 May 2022. I am using this substitute for the 30 April 2022 post.

  With that in mind, I will be making some major changes to the blog:

  • The name and naming scheme of the blog will change. I haven't decided on what yet, but I will do so. I just think that this scheme is no longer working and doesn't have the appeal I wanted it to. 
  • I will be removing all of the short story series from my blog and moving them to Google Documents and my archive blog. These blog posts will still remain up for the sake of consistency, but they will link to the respective blog post in the archive. *
  These are big changes, but mainly because I notice what has been working for my blog and what hasn't. And, in all honesty, the short stories series don't do better than the rest of my work, so I will simply set them aside. 

  So what will this blog become?

  Mostly? A life blog. Things that are on my mind mixed in with the random imaginary adventures I have with characters from my stories. I will probably also post links to different YouTube videos and livestream clips that I made that week. 

  Why am I doing this?
  
  I am mostly tired of the way my online life is. Between the lack of discipline for consistent blog post and the subpar writing of my short stories especially, I feel like I am not doing what I can to make this blog as special as I think it could be. 

  These changes may take some time, but I am hoping to have it fully completed by mid-June before I get going with my summer activities. 

  Until then, please bear with me. In the meantime, you can find me online... somewhere. Mostly either on Twitch or on Discord right now. But don't worry. I hope that will change soon.

* After considering what I want my blog to be, all of my creative pieces will be removed from the blog entirely. They may be moved to another site or blog at a much later date, but for now they will be removed.

 This goes to every American who either voted or did not vote recently. If you did not get what you wanted/needed, celebrate with those who did. For the first time in four years, those people may feel seen and valued.  If you did get what you wanted/needed, comfort and/or pray for those who did not. For the first time in four years, those people may feel uncertain and scared of their future.  No matter who you are as an American, please prepare to make the next four years the best they can be for yourself and others. Canlanma Street Level, Story 1

Story 1    The holy incense follows the disciples out of the gilded temple hall. The Shepherd continues to swing the burner as he repeats the old mantras of the faith. The last disciple leaves and the burner settles as the Shepherd contemplates the list of rituals he must perform before the sun sets. The ritual implements have to be cleaned, the sacrifices burned, the acolytes of the temple purified, the-   "Shepherd Thanatos, we have a situation that requires your attention." An acolyte of the temple calls from below the altar. The Shepherd sighs and recites his calming mantra: "What I am about to do has not been approved." The Shepherd walks slowly behind the altar and finds the symbol on the side as he recites "chao regnat" under his breath. The symbol glows and opens a trap door under the altar.
