WWRRD?

DISCLAIMER: This is just a funny idea I had that fit perfectly with my discovery of a TV series. Everything in this post is fictional, outside of the miniscule amount of research I did for the beginning. PLEASE don't come after me for this. It's just for goofs. ~      Hi there. I'm Ryan Reynolds. Yes, Ani let me "take over her blog" to let you know of an amazing thing I just did.      As you know, I am known for many things. One of those things is a show I do called "Welcome to Wrexham," which where myself and another dude called Rob managing a football (or soccer, for you Americans) team. That's really all it boils down to. That and helping the Wrexham community a bit. Those guys are pretty okay, so it's not my trouble.      But let me let you in on a little secret. I'm not just doing this for fun. Or for money. Or to look good.     Just like every good celebrity, I know something that you don't. And I might as ...

+1 to Perspective

I am at a loss for words on how things could change so much in life.      I am currently writing this to be released on 19 May (even though I am writing it on 25 June). I am giving everyone who is catching up like I am a small break in all of the fiction ideas to kind of re-introduce myself to the new people I have given a link to this blog.      Hi. My name is Animus Custodius, but most people just call me Ani. I am a Colorado native now in my 30s who is trying to piece together some sort of collection of musings, ramblings, and overall chaos when I have the time and energy to do so. Most of the time, I'm pretty good about giving this blog weekly updates. However, with the most recent events in my life, I will be back-dating and back-logging blog posts.      Why do I bother to do this?     Well, for one, I like looking at this and seeing that I tried to do this weekly. I have been doing this blog basically week...

Busy Mind, Busy Life

Hey y'all.    I'm just making the post to let you know I am still alive.    I have had a lot going on recently, hence why I haven't updated in a while. The most recent thing was a death of someone close to me (not family, but still someone close) that happened Thursday, but I've also just been mega busy and trying to get family stuff done.   For those of you I've told already, I appreciate the kindness and support I've been getting the last week.    As soon as I can, I will retro-update this blog and I will post more about what has been goin on when I'm ready.

I Didn't Mean To

How was I supposed to know I had the ability to give other some sort of supernatural ability?     To be fair, I was sitting at the bus station when I found out about this. I accidently bumped into someone, and suddenly they kept finding those gold dollar coins in their hands every time they opened one of them. I only saw them on the bus for a few days after that. I think they probably realized something could be done with this newfound wealth and just... stopped using the bus.      Another person I bumped into was at the store. They looked a bit stunned at first, but then some family that moved into the state last week walked by us. I know they could only speak Spanish, but the person just stared at them and then answered something back in perfect Spanish. It wasn't until they were done laughing about something when the person gave me a look of pure horror. They asked if I gave them a concussion and unlocked their brain or something. I just ...

Another Chosen One?

Well, it's me this year.      I heard last year that those farm twins went off to perform their quest to find themselves and see who they truly were. They came back three days later and told the town that they were just farmers, and nothing changed that fact. It made the old grand master look a bit foolish, to be frank with you.      But now it's my turn, I guess. I am 20 myself, so I fit more in line with what the chosen one usually is. Someone young, impressionable, and eager to get out and see what they are.      Not me though. I am perfectly content being at home, studying. I am actively avoiding the town right now, even while writing this down. I know at some point, I'm going to have to face the old grand master and the town. And I will tell them the honest truth. How I don't feel like going on the quest. I don't feel like doing much of anything but studying and practicing my music for the next harvest festival....

A Chosen One?

Well, I'm it this year.      Every decade, some twerp we call the "old grand master" names someone as the "chosen one" and sends them on some quest to find ourselves. Something boring like that. I think it is usually someone putting some coin or something valuable in the old man's underwear and telling him which "chosen one" would be the best one. Like some bizarre game or bet. Either way, our parents weren't too happy when we got-     Oh, I forgot. It's not just me.      This year, it's him and I.      We are twins. Born and raised that way. Thankfully, we are both men, so our mother didn't dress us up in those ugly dresses and parade us around like royalty while we were little. We were just told to tend to the animals and the farmland. Father taught us how, and soon enough we were slinging alfalfa and milking goats better than most of the farm hands from the wealthier farmers in the area. Our work was quick, le...

The Power of ...

We finally did it.      At long last, we found a way to defeat the empire.      For so long, we thought they had us. Their law enforcement was just a little faster, a little smarter, and a little wittier. They had us in jail at one point, but we got out once we realized who the weakest link in their chain was: their juries. The poor people they ripped out from the livelihoods they were forced to upkeep to sit and listen to the pleas of our brethren. All we would ask for was a little mercy, and the jury would be quick to give. They understood how things were truly run over here, most of the time. The law enforcement tried to bribe them with money, goodies, or favors just to dole out their "justice." Sometimes it worked, hence jail. But most of the time, the people of the jury would find the law enforcement too extreme for such a simple crime.      So we learned the ways of the people. The people they ripped out for this "j...
